What course do you or your organisation take to navigate your way to effective written communication?

I am a freelance editor and proofreader, living and working from a 1924 Dutch Barge on the River Thames, so I don’t have the every day stresses of commuting to work. My working environment is calm and peaceful; just the water lapping against the hull and the sound of the water fowl and birds around me. Even when I am away from the mooring, I can still work, as I take my home and office with me.

I am an associate member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders with an excellent eye for detail - I am consistent, enthusiastic and good at meeting targets.
